BUILDING METHODS
Is characterised by a simple box fuselage, built using techniques developed by
Mr. Robert Hovey of California. Mr Hovey is not responsible in any way for the design or development of either the Beach Boy or the A-17R!
We extend gratefull thanks to him though for his assistance in providing
drawings of the Hovey Delta Hawk which was designed and built using his techniques. The A-17R has a single fin and rudder, of rounded configuration
with or without the aerodynamic surface balance ahead of the rudder.
The fuselage is a box structure and the wings are manufactured from
aircraft grade aluminum tubing and gussets rivited together.
